Meet Our New Head of College!

At the heart of James’ approach is a simple but powerful view. When young people feel safe, understood and supported, they are far more likely to grow in confidence, build resilience and believe in what they are capable of. At Skillset Senior College, success is not measured by academic achievement alone, but also by personal growth, self belief and the ability for students to see real and meaningful pathways ahead.

As he begins in the role, James is focused on listening, learning and building strong connections. He is committed to working closely with students, staff, families and the wider community, ensuring that student voice and wellbeing remain central to decision making.

James shared, “What drew me to Skillset Senior College was the genuine care for young people and the deep commitment to community. I believe every student deserves to feel safe, known and supported, and when they do, they begin to see what is possible for their future. I am looking forward to listening, learning and working alongside our students, staff and families as we continue to build strong and meaningful pathways for every young person.”
